Kunming Institute of Zoology (KIZ), Chinese Academy of Sciences, is initiating a new drive for recruitment of laboratory heads at the Investigator and Senior Investigator level. Recently, KIZ has aimed to biodiversity usage and conservation biology, evolutionary heredity and development, animal models and human disease, and implement the infrastructure of a modern research institute that provides an environment for rigorous scientific pursuit and fruitful interactions, a merit-based system for promotion and funding, and a high-quality training program for graduate students. The Institute currently has 21 laboratories in various areas of molecular, cellular and system neurobiology, evolution, conservation biology (see www.kiz.ac.cn) and plans to expand more laboratories within the next five years.
