Cross-Taiwan Strait Conference on Evolutionary Genomics Held in Kunming

The Cross-Taiwan Strait Conference on the Study of Non-model Organism and Evolutionary Genomics was held in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province on March 20-23, 2011.

Co-held by Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan (NCKU), the conference attracted 9 experts from mainland and 11 from Taiwan universities.

Various reports on related topics were given at the conference, followed by heated discussion from the experts.
A core message that emerged from the conference is that both sides would intensify cooperation in related fields and jointly push forward academic cooperation of cross-Taiwan Strait.

NCKU, founded in 1931, is one of the most prestigious universities in Taiwan, with high reputations in science, engineering, medicine, management, planning and design.
