On April 6th, Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Anhui University signed a joint educational agreement in Hefei, Anhui Province.  Cheng Hua, president of Anhui University, and Zhang Ya-Ping, director of Kunming Institute of Zoology, Academy of Sciences, both delivered warm speeches at the signing ceremony. They expressed warm congratulations to the successful cooperation between the university and the institute.

They pointed out that it was a new important measure for both sides to actively implement the strategy of the national personnel training, promote educational reform, strengthen the collaboration, and to establish a new mode of running universities. Moreover, it will have a profound impact in terms of the exploration of social development to adapt to the training of young talents, and promote the close integration of researching and teaching.

The famous Anhui University is a well developed higher learning institution supported by the government under the State 211 Project. The University has trained a large amount of outstanding graduates for the society and is an important base to train high-level personnel, and to study and solve major economic and social development issues in Anhui Province

Through cooperation, two sides will highlight the areas of personnel training and scientific research; gradually reach the target of complementary advantages, union and mutual development.

Under the agreement, Anhui University and Kunming Institute of Zoology will initiate joint training programs with the model of 2 +2 for undergraduates, 1 +2 for Master's students. By so doing, they jointly explore and develop co-culture methods to improve the quality of personnel training, strive to promote both innovative personnel training and education development.
