On 18th April, 2011, Dr. Pham Van Luc, Director of Vietnam National Museum of Nature (VNMN), Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology visited Kunming Institute of Zoology (KIZ) and met with Dr. Zhang Ya-Ping, the director of KIZ, as well as some scientists working in KIZ. Dr. Zhang Ya-Ping.
Views on topics such as Visiting Postgraduate and Visiting Scholar exchange activities, animal specimen exchanges and training and technical support on International Barcode of Life were exchanged during the meeting, through which Dr. Pham Van Luc and Dr. Zhang Ya-Ping had a deeper understanding on the future collaboration. Afterwards, Dr. Pham Van Luc gives a brief introduction on development of VNMN. On 19th April,Dr. Pham Van Luc visits the Germplasm Bank and botanical gardens of Kunming Institute of Botany (KIB).
Vietnam National Museum of Nature was founded in 2006 and belongs to the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. The museum is a Scientific-Cultural Organization and serves to collect, store, preserve, exhibit, introduce and study the collections of natural materials and resources of Vietnam. The museum aims to propagate knowledge, education, scientific research and tourism.
