On June 19, 2013, 48 students graduated from labs across the Kunming Institute of Zoology.  Deputy Director Huang Jingfei led the ceremony  while Deputy Director Yao Yonggang congratulated each of the students on their hard work, thanking them for their contributions to making the institute an increasingly important center of international research, after which Yao and Huang handed out diplomas. Zheng Tang spoke on behalf of the graduates, wishing them all brilliant careers in the years ahead. Liu Jia also spoke on behalf of the graduate students, thanking the teachers and scientists for their hours of mentoring and dedication, preparing each of them to fill their roles in society.
