On September 27, high-level personnel from the Kunming Institute of Zoology including recognized personnel involved in high-level science and technology were invited to participate in the launch of Kunming latest expose on work being done in the province at the "Building an innovative Yunnan: Major Scientific and Technological Achievements” exhibition.

Using panels, LED displays and interactive 3D technology, groups from around Yunnan province showcased the major technological and industrial transformations that have fueled the province’s recent development. Focused around energy saving technology, agriculture, engineering, and innovative scientific research, the exhibition demonstrates Yunnan rise as major national and international player in China’s high-level scientific and technological market.

While the exhibition focused Yunnan’s growing importance as a hub for China’s growing international influence in science and technology, it also highlighted the importance of the province’s efforts to attract key talent and academic research personnel to fuel Yunnan’s growth as the province moves away from its traditional reliance on tourism, agriculture and basic industry. Given the Institute's recent contributions to scientific research in Yunnan as well as its strong focus on recruiting domestic and international scientific talent, the exhibition was an elegant forum to underscore the best KIZ’s accomplishments and its ambitions for the future.
