Earlier this month, staff from the Kunming Institute of Zoology (KIZ), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Large Instruments Regional Centers, the Shanghai Life Science Proteomics Analysis Center, and the Shanghai Branch of the New Life Biotechnology jointly held a seminar on advances in using proteomics in animal based medical research.
Lectures by the Dr. Yan Jun of the Shanghai Branch New Life Biotechnology outlined basic advances inproteomics research and research technologies and their implications for research efforts going on at KIZ. Dr. Jun made a point of outlining the advances inmass spectrometry in proteomics and mass spectrometry-based protein identification technology as well as developments in quantitative proteomics technologies and techniques, and discussed the potential of these advances to the research currently being undertaken at the institute with those attending the seminar.
