At the time of this beautiful autumn, we are more than happy to share with all of you the great news that on the “Conference of the Third Session of the Statistical Results of the Science and Technology Journals of China” hosted by Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC), September 2014 in Beijing, Zoological Research was awarded the “Outstanding S&T Journals of China, 2014”for its high academic value, especially the leading role it plays in the quality improving of the S&T journals of China. There are only 300 S&T journals nationwide, including ZR were selected for this award and this is also the second time ZR received this honor since 2008.

Meanwhile, to promote scientific communications, serve better in knowledge disseminating and facilitate the internationalization of the S&T journals of China, ISTIC launched the “Project of Frontrunner 5000”(F5000) to highlight the 5000 top articles from these 300 Outstanding S&T Journals of China. Four articles of ZR (published from 2009-2013) won the award.

Moreover, according to the results of Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) released by National Science Library, Chinese Academy of Science, ZR was among the “Top 300 S&T Journals of China with the Highest Impact Factors”.
