The Fourth AsiaEvo Conference was held in Kunming, China, from December 8 to 12, 2025. The conference was jointly organized by the Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Yunnan University, convened distinguished scholars and worldwide researchers in evolutionary biology to engage in comprehensive discussions on cutting-edge research and foster cross-disciplinary collaboration within the field.
The conference featured eight keynote lectures delivered by distinguished scientists, including Prof. Michael Lynch, Prof. Scott V. Edwards, Prof. Zhu Min, Prof. Mark Stoneking, Prof. Shigeru Kuratani, Prof. Douglas E. Soltis, Prof. Pamela S. Soltis, and Prof. Tomas Marques-Bonet. Furthermore, approximately 20 symposiums were organized, facilitating extensive scholarly exchange on diverse themes, which collectively attracted nearly 600 attendees.
Acting as a pivotal platform, the conference has effectively strengthened academic networks and catalyzed future research collaborations. It has not only significantly contributed to advancing discourse and innovation in evolutionary biology throughout Asia, but also established a lasting impact on the field's development in the region.
