To promote environmental conservation, on July 20 members of the Forestry Department of Yunnann Province, and the Yunnan Photographers Association and the Yunnan scientific research community attended the launch of the Green Development Foundation’s a “Human and Animals in Harmony” photography contest at the Kunming Natural History Museum of Zoology.
The photography contest is aimed at encouraging professional photographers and photography enthusiasts throughout the country to capture the spirit of harmony between humans and wild animals in Yunnan, the home province of China’s richest biodiversity. Rules of the contest specify that subjects can include mammals, primates, amphibians and reptiles, birds and other wildlife species. The competition will run from July 20, 2013 to November 10, 2013. There is no limit on the number of submissions, and both single and joint (groups of no more than 8 photos) entrants all eligible to participate. Please feel free to contact the Kunming Natural History Museum of Zoology for further inquiries.
