Dr. Zhenglong Gu received his Bachelors of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Peking University in 1998, and his PhD degree in Ecology and Evolution in 2003 from University of Chicago. He conducted his postdoctoral research at Stanford Genome and Technology Center from 2004 to 2006. He became an Assistant Professor in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University in 2006 and associate professor in 2012.

Title:Function and Evolution of small RNA targeting

Dr. Jian Lu received his Bachelor and Master degrees from School of Life Sciences at Peking University in 1999 and 2002 respectively. He obtained his PhD degree in Ecology and Evolution under the supervision of Dr. Chung-I Wu from University of Chicago in 2008. He conducted his postdoctoral research at Cornell University with Dr. Andy Clark from 2008 to 2012. He became a Principal Investigator in School of Life Sciences at Peking University in 2013.
