Introduction of speaker
Hua Huang is currently a professor at National Jewish Health, University of Colorado School of Medicine. National Jewish Health is a renowned respiratory hospital. It has been ranked as the tope respiratory hospital since 1997. Professor Huang’s laboratory studies transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of genes that control innate effector cell development and function in normal and diseased conditions. His laboratory has significantly contributed to the understanding how transcription factors, STAT5, GATA2, MITF and CEBPa regulate gene expression. More recently, his laboratory uses next generation sequencing to identify enhancers and determine how enhancers respond to antigen stimulations and how they regulate gene expression. They determine the contribution of genetic variants in enhancer activity, gene expression and disease severity.
